The Parenting Journey: Inside and Outside the EHDI System

Karen Putz shares the lessons she learned from raising her three deaf and hard of hearing kids and working as a Deaf Mentor in early intervention. This session includes 'The Mac and Cheese' story which examines the impact of everyday sounds and the importance of creating an environment with 100% access. The Parenting Journey is filled with twists and turns--and unexpected surprises. Karen explains the impact of Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults in early intervention and beyond.
