Abstract: |
The early years of infancy and preschool development are critical – and they are the beginning of a long and fruitful journey for families raising children who are deaf and hard of hearing. The Alexander Graham Bell Association has a variety of programs that support families and children who are deaf or hard of hearing to stay informed and involved. This session will highlight those programs, especially the Listening and Spoken Language Knowledge Center, a web based center for gaining accurate information about listening and spoken language. Families and EHDI professionals alike will find stories, resources, language development strategies, parent advocacy training and other ideas to support them as they strive to enrich the lives of infants and children who are deaf or hard of hearing. |
