Abstract:

Audiology students may not be fully aware of the critical role of the audiologist in EHDI programs. With the focus of the audiology doctoral program centered around clinic based skills and training, an indepth understanding of EHDI processes and systems may not get the full attention it deserves. This presentation will describe one university's collaboration with a state EHDI program to expose Au.D. students to all of the various components of an effective program as well as the challenges and opportunities. A model curriculum will be outlined and discussed. Participants will be encouraged to consider similar arrangements with Au.D. training programs.
