Field Trip: Feel the Beat/Brewability Buffet
Come along with CSDB for a day of “ACCESS-ability”. We’ll start at Feel the Beat, Denver, CO based 501c3 nonprofit organization and dance studio that makes the experience of music possible for those who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and with Special Needs. They use proprietary co-created bone-conduction dancefloors that allows participants to feel sound through vibrational energy while delivering the physical dimension of sound. Participants will enjoy a dance class (from instructors who sign), a presentation, opportunity for Q&A, and time to mix and mingle. From there, we will head to Brewability for a buffet lunch (included in registration cost) of pizza, breadsticks, salad and soda (craft brews available for purchase at participants cost). Brewability is an inclusive brewery and pizzeria that employs adults with disabilities. They also have the floor from Feel the Beat installed in their space!
