Navigating Other People by Understanding Communication Styles
As our communities have become polarized, the need for excellent communication has become greater. The workplace has ample opportunity for miscommunications and gaps to take place. Healthy relationships are not only needed in our personal lives but our work lives as well. When we can get along with colleagues, we can accomplish more, faster. In this session we will take a deep dive into interacting with those around us and explore ways to enhance communication so we can get the job done!
- Participants will learn about their own communication style.
- Participants will understand the benefit of communicating effectively with others.
- Participants will learn about the communication styles around them and how to enhance their relationships in the workplace.

Amanda is a mother of three boys, one of which is Deaf plus. Having experienced the EHDI system as a parent, she now as a Guide By Your Side Coordinator leads the program and collaborates with professionals in the field. With special interest in collaboration, she works with the Oregon EHDI team, their Advisory Committee, Hands & Voices and her local school district to promote healthy connections and successful children. She holds a certification in Performance Coaching and working with teams for healthy outcomes within their organization or business.
