Family Engagement – More Than a Parent on Your Team
Parent Partners bring your team full circle, but are you maximizing their skills and reach? Consider quality improvement, outreach and family engagement. Do these sound like goals you have for your program? This presentation will share numerous ways that parent partners have engaged families to improve EHDI services, provide family support and acknowledge parents for their leadership within the EHDI community.
- Identify at least three different ways to provide family support.
- Explain how family engagement and parent partners helped the EHDI program develop and work through QI initiatives and provide outreach for the EHDI program.
- Describe at least 2 ways to acknowledge parent involvement and develop parent leaders.
